How to Install Pokemon Infinite Fusion on Android (JoiPlay + RPG Maker)
⚠️ Before you begin: Uninstall any old version of JoiPlay and RPG Maker from your device. The latest versions of JoiPlay are NOT compatible with Pokemon Infinite Fusion. Use only the versions included in the PIFAndroidPlugins.zip file from this page.
Follow these steps in exact order:
Step 1 – Uninstall Old JoiPlay & RPG Maker
Go to Settings → Apps and uninstall both JoiPlay and RPG Maker if they are installed. This prevents version conflicts.
Step 2 – Download the Android ROM
Download the v6.7.2 ROM from the download table above. Do not use any other source — unofficial files cause HTTP errors.
Step 3 – Download JoiPlay & RPG Maker Plugin
Both APKs are inside the PIFAndroidPlugins.zip file available above. Download it along with the ROM.
Step 4 – Extract the Files
Install a RAR/ZIP extractor from the Google Play Store (e.g., ZArchiver or RAR). Then extract:
InfiniteFusionAndroid.zip→ your main game folderPIFAndroidPlugins.zip→ the folder containing both APKs
Step 5 – Install JoiPlay APK
Open your Files app → navigate to the extracted PIFAndroidPlugins folder → install JoiPlay APK first.
Step 6 – Install RPG Maker APK
After JoiPlay is installed, install the RPG Maker plugin APK from the same folder.
Step 7 – Move Save Files (Existing Players Only)
If you played a previous version, move your save file (File A.rxdata) into the new game folder before launching. Skip this step if you are a first-time player.
Step 8 – Add the Game to JoiPlay
Open JoiPlay → tap + → tap Add Game → navigate to your extracted InfiniteFusion folder → select Game.exe → tap Choose.
Step 9 – Enter Game Name and Version
Enter any name (e.g., “Infinite Fusion”) and set the version to 6.7.
Step 10 – Open the Game
Tap InfiniteFusion inside JoiPlay. The game will launch. On first launch, allow any permissions the app requests.
Important: Disable “Download Sprites” on Android
Once inside the game, press ESC → go to Options → turn off Download Sprites. Save the game and restart.
Why is this necessary? On Android, the sprite download feature causes performance issues, crashes, and freezes on most devices. Disabling it ensures stable gameplay. You can install sprite packs manually via the Sprite Packs guide.
How to Update Pokemon Infinite Fusion on Android
Android does not have an auto-updater. Follow these steps manually:
- Rename your current game folder to
InfiniteFusionAndroidOld - Download the latest ROM from the table above and extract it
- Move your save files (
File A.rxdata) from the old folder to the new folder - Open JoiPlay → remove the old game entry → tap + → Add Game.exe from the new folder
Common Errors & Fixes
1. HTTP Error Fix
Cause: You installed a fake/unofficial version of the game. Fix: Uninstall both JoiPlay and RPG Maker completely. Reinstall using only the files and APKs from this page. Do not download the ROM from any other source.
2. Compile Error: Game Not Supported
Cause: Your device chipset is incompatible with the default engine. Fix: In JoiPlay settings, change the engine type to RPG Maker (mkxp-z). If the error continues, your device cannot run the game.
3. Elite 4 / Pokemon League Fix
Cause: A known bug in versions downloaded before June 7th. Fix: For newer downloads (after June 7th), this is already resolved. If you still experience it, uninstall your current RPG Maker plugin and reinstall the Elite 4 Fix version.
4. Map / Tileset Error
Cause: Occurs on some unsupported devices. Fix: Try enabling Map Optimization in JoiPlay settings. If the game crashes after enabling it, your device is likely incompatible.
5. Typing Issues or Swapped Arrow Keys
Fix: Inside the game, go to Settings and change your text entry mode to Cursor.
6. Changing or Customizing Controls
Open JoiPlay → tap the three-dot menu (top right) → select Gamepad Settings → remap buttons to your preference.
