Berry Farming Guide: Best Berries & Where to Find Them in Pokémon Infinite Fusion

Berries in Pokémon Infinite Fusion work differently than you might expect if you played the official games. There is no planting, no watering, and no mulch timers. Instead, berries grow on bushes scattered across Kanto and Johto that refill every day at midnight, plus a handful of NPCs who hand out free berries daily. Once you know the routes, you can stockpile healing berries, EV-reducing berries, and rare type-resist berries with about ten minutes of effort per day. This guide covers every reliable berry source in the game, ranks the berries actually worth farming, and gives you a simple daily route.

How Berry Farming Works in Infinite Fusion

Forget everything about soft soil from Diamond and Pearl. In Infinite Fusion, berry bushes are static objects in the world that spawn berries on a daily cycle. Bushes and daily NPC gifts refresh at midnight, so the entire farming loop is: visit your spots, collect, come back tomorrow. You cannot speed it up by watering or planting, and there is no way to grow more bushes than the game placed.

That makes knowledge the real farming tool. A player who knows all five berry locations collects five times the berries of someone who only knows one, every single day. The good news is that the best spot in the game concentrates most of the valuable berries in one small area.

Route 18 Berry Farm: the Best Berry Spot in the Game

Once you have Surf, head to Route 18. Past the trainers you will find the Berry Farm, and this one location beats every other berry source in the game combined. There are three things to do here, and you should do all of them every day.

First, talk to the elderly man in the farmhouse. He gives you free berries once a day, 2 to 6 of a random berry each visit. His pool includes genuinely useful ones: Qualot, Rawst, Rindo, Rowap, Salac, Shuca, Sitrus, Tamato, Tanga, Wacan, Wiki, and Yache. A daily Salac or Sitrus Berry for zero effort is excellent value, and the EV-reducing berries in his pool (Qualot, Tamato) save you real training time. If you need Surf to reach Route 18, our HM locations guide shows where to get it.

Second, check the berry bushes at the farm itself. These carry the EV-reducing lineup: Grepa, Hondew, Kelpsy, Qualot, and Tamato berries, 1 to 4 per bush with a daily random chance. If you are serious about competitive training, this is your most important stop. Our EV training guide explains exactly how these berries let you fix training mistakes.

Third, surf to the small island off Route 18 and check its berry bushes. These carry type-resist berries: Babiri, Chilan, Chople, Coba, Colbur, Haban, Kasib, Kebia, Payapa, Rindo, Shuca, Tanga, Wacan, and Yache, again 1 to 4 per bush daily. Type-resist berries are some of the best held items in the game for tough boss fights, and this island is the most reliable place to farm them. Pair them with the advice in our held items guide to get the most out of each one.

While you are there, note the elderly woman who buys Mulch and the Pokémon Breeder by the Miltank who sells Moo Moo Milk. The milk is a cheap, reliable healing item for long routes, worth grabbing whenever your wallet allows. For more money-making routes to fund your item shopping, see our money farming guide.

One more money tip for this stop: the elderly woman at the farm buys Mulch from you. Mulch shows up in your bag from various pickups around the world, and most players hoard it for ages without realizing it is sellable. Dump your spare Mulch on her during your daily route and turn a forgotten inventory item into healing-item money. It will not make you rich, but it covers the cost of the Ultra Balls you will burn on your next legendary hunt.

Tips to Make the Daily Route Faster

The route only stays a habit if it stays quick. Use Fly or the Teleporter to jump straight to Route 18 and back to Treasure Beach instead of walking or surfing the long way. Keep an empty slot or two in your bag’s berry pocket so you never have to stop and reorganize mid-route.

Time your run for right after the midnight reset if you play late, or fold it into your login routine: route first, adventure second. It also pairs well with other daily check-ins, like the Wonder Trade tickets or any NPC gifts you collect. Ten focused minutes beats a scattered hour, and after a week you will do the whole loop from memory.

Oricorio Clearing: More Type-Resist Berries

South of Treasure Beach, as part of the Meloetta questline, you will find the Oricorio Clearing, a forest clearing where Oricorio gather. Its berry bushes carry the same family of type-resist berries as the Route 18 island: Babiri, Chilan, Chople, Coba, Colbur, Haban, Kasib, Kebia, Payapa, Rindo, Shuca, Tanga, Wacan, and Yache, each with a daily random chance.

This is your second daily stop for type-resist berries. Between the Route 18 island and the Oricorio Clearing, you have two independent daily rolls at the full resist-berry lineup, which adds up fast. If you are preparing for a specific gym or boss, check which berry resists their main attacking type and farm both spots for a few days. A Yache Berry against an Ice-heavy team or a Chople Berry against Fighting types can turn a loss into a win.

Pewter City Flower Garden: Free Berries for Flower Deliveries

Early in the game, visit the flower garden in Pewter City. A man there asks you to deliver flowers from the nearby routes, and each delivery earns you a berry:

  • Pink flowers from Route 2 (Before the Forest): Oran Berry
  • Red flowers from Route 3: Sitrus Berry
  • Blue flowers from Route 4: Lum Berry
  • All flower types delivered, plus catching the Oricorio: Berry Juice

These are one-time rewards rather than a daily farm, but they arrive exactly when you need them. An Oran Berry restores 10 HP when held, a Sitrus Berry restores 25% of max HP, and a Lum Berry cures any status condition, all solid held items for the early gyms. Berry Juice restores 20 HP when used. Do this quest as soon as you reach Pewter City; the flowers are all nearby and the whole thing takes a few minutes.

Early-Game Berries: Viridian Forest and Battle Rewards

Before you reach the Route 18 farm, Viridian Forest is your main berry source. There are Pecha Berries hidden in the tree behind the potion pickup (three of them), more Pecha Berries in the spider webs scattered through the forest (about a one-in-three daily chance per web), and Youngster Sean hands you a Pecha Berry after you beat him. Pecha Berries cure poison, which matters a lot in a forest full of Weedle and Kakuna.

A couple of trainers also pay out in berries. Crush Girl Penelope rewards you with several berries after you defeat her, and Aroma Lady Miranda on Route 18 hands over berries after her battle. Always talk to trainers after beating them; you would be surprised how many carry useful items.

The Berries Actually Worth Farming, Ranked

Not all berries deserve your daily attention. Here is how to prioritize, from most to least valuable for a typical playthrough:

1. EV-reducing berries (Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato)

These are the most valuable berries in the game for anyone who trains seriously. Each one lowers EVs in a specific stat: Pomeg for HP, Kelpsy for Attack, Qualot for Defense, Hondew for Special Attack, Grepa for Special Defense, and Tamato for Speed. That lets you erase training mistakes and redistribute EVs exactly where you want them. Farm the Route 18 farm bushes and the farmhouse daily gift for Qualot and Tamato; the rest come from the farm bushes. If you have ever ruined a sweeper by leveling it on the wrong wild Pokémon, you know why these matter.

2. Type-resist berries (Yache, Chople, Shuca, Wacan, and friends)

Each of these halves the damage of one super-effective move type when held: Yache for Ice, Chople for Fighting, Shuca for Ground, Wacan for Electric, Kebia for Poison, Coba for Flying, Payapa for Psychic, Tanga for Bug, Charti for Rock, Kasib for Ghost, Haban for Dragon, Colbur for Dark, Babiri for Steel, Chilan for Normal, Occa for Fire, Passho for Water, Rindo for Grass, and Roseli for Fairy. Farm them at the Route 18 island and Oricorio Clearing bushes. Before a tough gym or boss, equip the berry that resists their ace’s main STAB and watch a would-be knockout turn into a survivable hit.

3. Healing and status berries (Sitrus, Lum, Oran, Leppa, Cheri, Pecha)

Sitrus Berry restores 25% HP and is the best general-purpose held healing item for most of the game. Lum Berry cures any status condition, which is invaluable against gyms that spam Thunder Wave or Toxic. Oran Berry’s 10 HP heal is small but free and early. Leppa restores 10 PP, handy for long dungeons. The status-cure berries (Cheri for paralysis, Pecha for poison, Rawst for burn, Aspear for freeze, Chesto for sleep, Persim for confusion) are situational but weigh nothing to carry.

4. Battle berries (Salac, Rowap, Wiki, Aguav, Figy, Iapapa, Mago)

Salac Berry raises Speed when your HP drops low, a classic sweeper item you can get from the Route 18 farmhouse daily. Rowap Berry damages attackers who hit you with special moves. Wiki, Aguav, Figy, Iapapa, and Mago restore HP but may confuse Pokémon that dislike their flavor, so check natures before relying on them. These are fun for experimentation once your core stockpile is full.

A Simple 10-Minute Daily Berry Route

Here is the loop. Do it once a day, right after midnight if you want to be efficient about it:

  • Route 18 farmhouse: talk to the elderly man for your 2 to 6 free daily berries.
  • Route 18 farm bushes: collect the EV-reducing berries (Grepa, Hondew, Kelpsy, Qualot, Tamato).
  • Route 18 island bushes: surf over and collect the type-resist berries.
  • Oricorio Clearing bushes: fly or travel south of Treasure Beach and collect the second round of type-resist berries.
  • Viridian Forest spider webs: only if you still need Pecha Berries; skip once your stockpile is healthy.

That is the whole farm. Ten minutes, two dozen or more berries on a good day, and a stockpile that keeps your team healed, correctly EV-trained, and holding the right resist berry for every boss. Consistency beats intensity here; a week of daily routes builds a bigger stockpile than one marathon session.

Berry Farming FAQ

Can you plant berries in Pokémon Infinite Fusion?

No. Unlike the official games, Infinite Fusion has no planting or watering system. Berries grow on fixed bushes that refill daily at midnight, and NPCs give daily gifts. Farming means visiting every source once a day.

Where is the best place to farm berries?

The Route 18 Berry Farm, once you have Surf. It has the daily farmhouse gift, EV-reducing berry bushes at the farm, and type-resist berry bushes on the nearby island, all within a minute of each other.

Which berries reduce EVs?

Pomeg (HP), Kelpsy (Attack), Qualot (Defense), Hondew (Special Attack), Grepa (Special Defense), and Tamato (Speed). Each one lowers EVs in its stat so you can retrain a Pokémon correctly. Farm them at the Route 18 farm bushes.

How do you get a Lum Berry early?

Deliver blue flowers from Route 4 to the man in the Pewter City flower garden. He also gives an Oran Berry for pink flowers from Route 2 and a Sitrus Berry for red flowers from Route 3.

Which berries should a beginner prioritize?

Sitrus and Lum first. A Sitrus Berry on your lead Pokémon saves you potions through every early gym, and a Lum Berry blanks the status spam that wipes beginner teams. Grab both from the Pewter City flower garden quest, then add Oran Berries from Viridian Forest as backup healing. Worry about EV-reducing and type-resist berries once you reach Route 18 and start training seriously.

Do berry bushes respawn?

Yes, daily at midnight. Both the bushes and the farmhouse NPC gift reset, so make the route part of your daily routine.

Berries are one of those systems that quietly carry a playthrough. A Sitrus Berry here, a Yache Berry there, a corrected EV spread on your sweeper, and suddenly the bosses that walled you start falling. Start the Route 18 route today, keep it daily, and check your bag in a week. You will be surprised how fast it fills up. And if you want to see where berries fit into the bigger training picture, our EV training guide and fusion calculator are the natural next reads.
